Leading supplier of shrink wrapping equipment, Yorkshire Packaging Systems Ltd, will be celebrating nearly 35 years in business during the PPMA 2011 show, with the introduction of their own manufactured palletising robot designed specifically to go on the end of the company’s own shrink wrappers.

Most palletising solutions are designed for high speed and high volume applications where the use of labour would not be feasible or desirable. However, the need to palletise goods exists at all speeds and so the challenge has been to design a system which takes up the minimum amount of space as well as being cost effective against labour costs at lower speeds.

The palletising solution from YPS will be a fully working exhibit and will be shown in conjunction with the highly successful side feed sleeve wrapper and shrink tunnel designed for transit application.

In addition the company will also unveil its new totally re-designed high speed continuous side seal shrink wrapper designed to work in tandem with the new biodegradable material.

The latest model incorporates many new features which have been added to further strengthen its position in the market. As well as a brand new intuitive touch screen control system, a brand new pack detection system and servo controlled motors ensures faster speeds than ever before are attainable.

In addition the company will also be displaying its full complement of YPS shrink wrappers from its range of semi automatic combination unit ‘L’ sealers and shrink tunnels as well as its fully automatic ‘L’ sealer and shrink tunnel, along with the unique biodegradable polyolefin shrink film.
