Yashill International to Establish Dairy Plant in New Zealand
Chinese infant formula group Yashill International is to invest NZ$230 million (US$192 million) in building a new milk processing plant south of Auckland in New Zealand. Yashill International’s investment plans have just been approved by New Zealand’s Overseas Investment Office, which considers all foreign investment valued at more than NZ$100 million. The new 50,000 tonnes per annum facility is expected to be operational in 2014.
Established in 1983, Yashill International mainly focuses on the production and sale of paediatric milk formula products and nutrition food. In 2002, it launched the Scient brand of paediatric milk formula.
Headquartered in Chaozhou, Guangdong province, Yashill Interantional is a leading player in China’s paediatric milk formula industry, and also has a leading position in the soymilk powder market in China.
