Wyke Farms Appoints New Chairman
Wyke Farms, one of the UK’s largest independent cheese makers and milk processors, producing over 13,000 tonnes of cheddar per year, has announced that Paul Hardwick (pictured) will be taking on the official role and title of Chairman. Paul Hardwick has been with Wyke Farms for 30 years, previously working at accountancy firm, Grant Thornton. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has successfully worked with Wyke Farms as Finance Director, helping to guide the family business over the years.
John Clothier, second generation cheese maker has officially retired from his role as Chairman with immediate effect. He has worked in the family business since childhood and has over 70 years of experience of the dairy industry. John Clothier will remain close to the company and step into an advisory role to help steer the family business.
Wyke Farms has been producing cheddar for over a century and has grown to become one of the largest family-owned cheese makers in Britain. The Wyke Farms brand is the fourth largest brand in the cheddar cheese category and the only independent company in the top 10 cheese brands with retail sales of over £60 million.
