Wall’s Funny Feet ice creams are back from the 1980s
The Wall’s ice cream brand from Unilever UK is relaunching its popular 1980s ice cream variant, Wall’s Funny Feet. Available to order from 2 September 2013, Wall’s Funny Feet come in multipacks of four and will be on shelf from 30 September.
The iconic foot shape, strawberry flavour ice cream and pink colour from the 1980s remain, along with the recognisable red and yellow colour cues on the original packaging, which has been updated with a modern design.
Brigitta Holland, brand manager for Wall’s at Unilever UK, said: “We are thrilled to relaunch Funny Feet into our Wall’s Kids range following the overwhelming support the product received in The Grocer’s ‘Bring Back a Brand’ campaign.
“With 6,000 votes to reinstate the product – originally launched in 1980 – it’s evident that Wall’s Funny Feet were a childhood favourite of many and we are happy to be able to meet the palpable consumer demand.”
The relaunch forms part of The Unilever Foundation’s partnership with charity organisation Save the Children, and 10p will be donated from the sale of each marked pack to Save the Children’s ‘Eat, Sleep, Learn, Play’ programme to help give the most disadvantaged children in the UK a better start in life.
Wall’s Funny Feet RRP is £2.22 per multipack and are available in cases of six.
