Videojet to unveil 1000 series addition at Total 2013
Videojet has announced that it will unveil its expanded portfolio at The Total Processing & Packaging Exhibition
Issues of transparent traceability and assured product integrity have been highlighted of late in light of the horsemeat scandal, making the ability to assuage public fears vital.
Renowned for its broad range of coding assurance solutions, Videojet are confident that their latest additions will help brand owners to do just that.
“Recent news stories have helped reinforce the importance of product traceability, assurance and integrity,” comments Tom Hawkins, Videojet sales director UK and Ireland. “Despite the fact the erroneous activity clearly took place at the start of the supply chain it is brands who will continue to suffer from the public backlash. Expectations regarding transparency and reliability will be raised and the ability to demonstrate clear and effective coding will become a critical tool in rebuilding consumer confidence.”
Videojet will present the new 50 series (1550/ 1650) small character inkjet printers as part of its 1000 series range. The Videojet 1650 and Videojet 1550, with line speeds of up to 293mpm and 278.6mpm respectively, are designed to minimise planned and unplanned downtime and maximise printer availability.
Among the features are Dynamic Calibration for the optimisation of print quality in changing environmental conditions, CleanFlow print head technology to reduce ink build-up for longer runs between print head cleanings and a core life of up to 14,000 hours to extend run times between preventive maintenance.
A CLARiTY interface reduces errors, a large, responsive 10.4inch touch screen assures easy operation and a Smart Cartridge fluid system reduces waste, mess and mistakes.
Also new is the compact Videojet 3020 while Total 2013 visitors should also look out for the unveiling of a new product, details of which will be announced at the show.
