Ulma to present latest pack technology at Foodex
The technical advantages of the new VTI 640 vertical bagger, designed by ULMA for the packing of a wide variety of food products, will be unveiled for the first time in the UK. Also sharing the spotlight at the NEC in April will be the VTC 840 VFFS continuous motion bagmaker.
Visitors making a beeline for the ULMA stand (M250) will also witness a demonstration of the new-look Sienna flowrapper, ideal for flow wrapping loose, irregular shaped products such as fruit and vegetables. The Sienna’s robustness, versatility, efficiency, and ease of operation is renowned, but among other improvements the machine now incorporates a new sealing head which can achieve speeds of up to 75 packs per minute, providing an increase in productivity of up to 25%.
Supplementing these advances in packaging technology and its automated case packing solutions, will be ULMA’s TSA 680 automatic tray sealer for all types of trays and materials. Designed for integration into medium to high capacity production lines, the TSA 680 can seal MAP, Vacuum and Skin depending on the requirements of the product to be packaged.
Completing ULMA’s line-up at Foodex is the TFS Skin 407 thermoformer. The TFS 407 uses specially designed top films for enhancing the product’s appearance and extending shelf life. It makes a vacuum pack that protects and fits around the product like a second skin, especially suited for fresh and processed meat, fish, poultry, cheese and pâtés.
ULMA’s UK managing director, Chris Pickles, said: “We are delighted to be attending Foodex and look forward to another successful show. Visitors to our stand are in for a treat thanks to the exceptional equipment line-up that they will be able to see in action.”
