Tyrrells upgrades stretch wrapping with Atlanta Packaging
Crisp specialist Tyrrells has upgraded production at its recently-acquired Glennans division with a new stretch wrapper from Atlanta Packaging
The business has recently installed a Mytho turntable stretch wrapper at the Glennans facility in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire following an increase in volumes after Glennans was acquired by Tyrrell in December 2011.
According to Atlanta, the Mytho was chosen for its versatility, size and value for money compared to the competition.
In December 2011 Glennans was acquired by the Tyrrells group which led to further investment in the Glennans factory.
Glennan’s logistics manager Ian Simkins said: “It is a very versatile machine, using a swing arm instead of a fixed mast.
“This allows us to use the wrapper in our packing room which has a lower ceiling height, where we would be unable to use a standard mast wrapper.
“It’s easily transportable and can be positioned within our warehouse as and when we need it. It also offered excellent value for money, as wrappers with the same level of programmable features were significantly more expensive.”
