Totality GCS links up with Morrisons to create pack mock-ups
Design agency Totality GCS will produce around 4000 final product packaging mock-ups for supermarket retailer Morrisons this year
The project aims to save Morrisons time and money during new-product developments, by helping with organisation. It will also try to increase shelf standout as well as space.
‘Strong working relationship’
Totality GCS managing director Chris Turpin said: “We’ve built a strong working relationship with Morrisons over the past ten years, working across all tiers of design production and we are thrilled to take on the pre-sales packaging process.
“By replicating the exact structural format of the pack, the correct material and desired finished, any issues are raised before the costly print production.
“Our breath of knowledge and wealth of experience in colour and print skills will be put to use when creating the packaging mock ups for pre-sale models for Morrisons’ basic, core and premium brands.”
The project is part of the wider O2O programme established by Morrisons.
O2O is a two-year launch programme which has seen Morrisons transform its packaging to create a range of own-label brands.
The mock-ups allow assessment of the proposed design prior to final implementation stages, reducing time and cost from their new product development process.
As well as pre-sale packaging, Totality GCS specialises in corporate identity, packaging, literature, point of sale and direct mail, working with clients including Lloyds Banking Group, Golden Wonder, Nando’s and Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
