The Art Department designs pack for 1824 Series whisky
Scottish design agency The Art Department has created prestigious packaging for a new single malt whisky from Macallan
The 1824 Series is the first in the Macallan Gold range and features a white and gold embossed design of the carton.
Prem Reynolds, creative director of The Art Department said: “The heavily embossed and foiled white packs help to showcase the stunning natural colour of each expression in The 1824 Series and maximise impact on shelf and back bar.”
Reynolds added: “With The Macallan Gold launching first, the nature of this new whisky had to achieve standout. Using colour to drive and define a whisky differs dramatically from the conventional age approach, therefore our design had to reflect this innovation.”
Alongside Gold, which is initially exclusive to the UK, The 1824 Series will also include three further expressions: Amber, Sienna and Ruby.
