Tetra Pak line goes into fruit and dairy packer Framptons
Liquid foods and beverages specialist Framptons has invested in a new Tetra Pak A3/CompactFlex iLine to meet increasing demand
The new Tetra Pak A3/Flex iLine is the filling machine for Tetra Brik Aseptic and Tetra Prisma Aseptic packages, ranging from 200ml to 330ml.
Framptons, based in Shepton Mallet, has increased contract pack volumes in the past year by 45%. The new line will offer portion packs for the ‘on the go’ market.
The firm specialises in fruit, dairy and dairy alternative products. The filling machine can accommodate a variety of closures including the new DreamCap.
Allan Staples, commercial director at Framptons, said: “More and more people are drinking when they are out and about. This change in consumption behaviour means people want and need different things from packaging.
“Portion packs, and DreamCap particularly, have been specially designed with on the go users in mind. We are excited that our new line means we can offer this packaging format to our existing customers as well as other brands that might be interested.”
