Tetra Pak has invested €25m in its packaging material plant in Turkey
The aseptic carton firm said that its plant technology upgrade in Izmir enables local production and export of its packages, including Tetra Gemina Aseptic and Tetra Prisma Aseptic.
It has also launched a new laminator at its factory in Izmir, Turkey, to mark its fortieth year of operations in the country.
According to Tetra Pak, the new VT laminator will increase production capacity by 20%, delivering new packages with shorter lead time to customers in the Turkey and Caucasus, and enabling export to the region.
The new laminator, which begins production in January 2013, boosts production capacity from five billion packs to approximately six billion. It is capable of laminating all types and sizes of Tetra Pak packages, including Tetra PrismaAseptic, TetraGemina Aseptic and Tetra Brik Aseptic packages with Helicap caps.
