TCS&D 2013 EXHIBITION
Top brands sign up for TCS&D show
Stand sales for the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution (TCS&D) exhibition in September next year have been swift since bookings opened in May.
The organisers of TCS&D – Sherwin Publications and Informa Exhibitions – are delighted that the contracts signed and reservations made so far indicate that the 2013 show will be even more successful than the inaugural event in 2011. Said Martyn Cogan, Sales and Marketing Director for TCS&D, “It’s 15 months until the doors open, yet we’ve already secured firm bookings from some of the biggest names in the cold supply chain – including Thermo King, Montracon, Gray & Adams, The Cold Consortium, Paneltex, SOMI Trailers, Blended Products, Seven Telematics, Chiltern Cold Storage Group, Chalcroft Construction, Eberspacher and BPW – so we’re very confident that the show will be a total sell-out.”
Taking place at the Peterborough Arena on 18 and 19 September next year, TCS&D 2013 will once again be supported by both the Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF) and the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) and will incorporate the Frozen & Chilled Foods Show. Together, the exhibitions will showcase a diverse range of solutions designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the cold supply chain.
Brand-new awards dinner
The exhibition will once again feature a formal industry dinner and, for the first time ever, this will incorporate an awards ceremony. Taking place at the end of the first day of the show at the nearby Peterborough Marriott Hotel, the TCS&D Awards Dinner will feature a range of accolades in various categories. These include Refrigerated Transporter of the Year; Refrigerated Fleet Manager of the Year; Cold Store Operator of the Year; Cold Store Manager of the Year; Livery of the Year; Environmental & Sustainability Award; Innovation Award; Health & Safety Award; Customer Service Award; and Lifetime Achievement Award. Explained Richard Cogan, Director of Sherwin Publications, “The awards programme and Black-Tie dinner have been designed to recognise excellence in the cold logistics sector and we hope that companies will take up the challenge to submit innovative products, services, initiatives and employees to compete for these prestigious awards.” For details of sponsorship opportunities or to order tickets at £95 plus VAT – to include pre-dinner cocktails, a four-course menu with wine and after-dinner entertainment – contact Richard Cogan on 01732 868288.
A cost-effective way to reach new buyers
With stands available in a range of sizes, TCS&D 2013 provides a cost-effective opportunity to meet key buyers in the chilled and frozen distribution industry. Commented Rob Fisher, Exhibition Director, “This event offers exceptional value for money for companies wishing to promote their products and services to decision-makers in the cold supply chain. Our comprehensive marketing campaign, combined with the convenient location of the venue, will ensure that professionals in the chilled and frozen sectors will view TCS&D 2013 as a must-attend event.” Firms interested in exhibiting should contact Martyn Cogan on 01732 868288 or Rob Fisher on 020 7017 6986, or visit www.tcsanddshow.com.
TCS&D show aims to repeat its success
The return of the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution (TCS&D) exhibition in 2013 has been warmly welcomed by the industry, including the Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF) and the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF).
Launched in 2011 to showcase solutions designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the cold supply chain, the biennial exhibition also incorporates the Frozen & Chilled Foods show. The event, along with a brand-new TCS&D Awards Dinner, will return to the Peterborough Arena on 18 and 19 September 2013.
Over 80 of the industry’s major players exhibited at the inaugural show in 2011 and the organisers – Informa Exhibitions and Sherwin Publications – are delighted that initial bookings and interest in the 2013 show indicate that it will be equally successful. The organisers will harness the resources of their established B2B publications and events – Informa’s Storage Handling Distribution magazine and International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) and Sherwin’s Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution and Frozen & Chilled Foods magazines – to promote TCS&D 2013, which is once again supported by both the FSDF and the BFFF.
Positive feedback
Said Martyn Cogan, Sales and Marketing Director, “We’ve had some tremendously positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike, which is a great platform on which to build the next show.” Michael Kane, Sales Director at Seven Refrigeration & Telematics, hailed the announcement of TCS&D 2013 as: “A welcome return of a great exhibition that showcases our industry to a focused audience.” He went on to explain, “Unlike some larger transport-oriented exhibitions, the TCS&D show condenses the key people within our market, in one place. We had absolutely no hesitation in rebooking, as we found the last show of such benefit and look forward to showing some of our new additions to the Transcan product range.”
Chalcroft Construction was another company that wasted no time in ordering a stand at the 2013 show. Commented Tess Morley, Business Development Manager, “The first TCS&D show was such a great success for Chalcroft,” she said, “that we did not hesitate when it came to booking to attend the 2013 event. There was a brilliant buzz about the first show, where we took the opportunity to network with the right people and so came away with great leads to follow up. We can’t recommend TCS&D shows highly enough.”
Chris Berridge, Managing Director of Paneltex, explained why his firm has rebooked: “Last year’s exhibition proved to be very successful for us. The combination of having an indoor stand, together with the outdoor area for our truck and trailer bodywork, enabled us to demonstrate a comprehensive selection of temperature-controlled bodywork and this proved popular with visitors, as we were really busy throughout the two-day show. It was therefore natural for us to commit to attending this show again in 2013.”
Thermo King has also booked up for TCS&D 2013 and David O’Gorman, Commercial Director for UK & Ireland, commented, “Thermo King were delighted with the quality of visitors attending TCS&D 2011. The number of visitors to our stand was very good, and at some peak times, we could have had 50% more space. We had no hesitation in rebooking for TCS&D 2013 and look forward to building on the success of the 2011 event.”
Other 2011 exhibitors to sign up immediately include Chiltern Cold Storage Group and Blended Products Ltd. Said Paul Jackson, Managing Director of Chiltern Cold Storage Group, “The TCS&D show last year was a very positive experience for us. We were impressed with the overall quality of the event and pleasantly surprised with how busy it was. The flow of traffic to our stand was good and we had a lot of interest from good quality prospects. We had no hesitation in rebooking our stand for next year.” For Blended Products Ltd, Simon Barker, Director, commented: “Blended Products had a great show with TCS&D in 2011…it took us direct to the decision-makers and engineers in our marketplace, it gave many new opportunities to obtain further business and also a chance to see our existing customers face to face.”
Awards dinner launched
TCS&D 2013 will once again feature an industry dinner but this time the event will be enhanced by the inclusion of an awards ceremony. Explained Richard Cogan, Director of Sherwin Publications, “The new TCS&D Awards Dinner will take place at the end of the first day of the show at the nearby Peterborough Marriott Hotel, and will feature a range of accolades in various categories to recognise excellence in the cold supply chain.” For details about tickets and sponsorship opportunities, contact Richard on 01732 868288.
Cost-effective opportunity

Commented Rob Fisher, Exhibition Director, “This event offers exceptional value for money for companies wishing to promote their products and services to decision-makers in the cold supply chain. We will be promoting the show heavily over the next 18 months – including advertising, PR, direct mail, e-marketing and telemarketing – to ensure that every chilled sector professional will view this as a must-attend event.” Firms interested in exhibiting should contact Rob on 020 7017 6986 or Martyn on 01732 868288, or visit www.tcsanddshow.com.

Just a stone’s throw from the A1, Peterborough Arena offers plenty of free parking and is only 15 minutes from Peterborough’s rail station, with London’s King’s Cross just 45 minutes away by train. In addition, the airports at East Midlands, Birmingham, Luton and Stansted are each approximately an hour’s car journey from the venue.
TCS&D 2013 Launches
Back by popular demand, TCS&D 2013 (incorporating the Frozen & Chilled Foods Show) will provide once again the perfect opportunity to engage with, and sell services to, buyers and specifiers from key organisations.
Dates: 18th & 19th September 2013 at the Peterborough Arena (previously known as the Exec).
With the combined power and influence of Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution (TCS&D), Frozen & Chilled Foods and Storage Handling Distribution (ShD) magazines and their associated websites and databases we have developed a tailor-made marketing campaign to target key decision makers within the industry.
With a focussed marketing campaign in place, which will involve magazine advertising, editorials, direct mail, e-marketing and tele-marketing, our combined reach will target over 25,000 key-decision makers, explaining why they should take time to visit this high profiled event, which will help them evaluate their temperature controlled storage and distribution needs.
We’re delighted that the Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF) and the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) will be supporting TCS&D 2013 once again. Each will have their own “Village Areas”.
