SDC orders increase due to trade shows and innovation
SDC Trailers is bucking the economic trend after attendance at recent trade shows and its innovation around longer semi trailers has helped to boost sales and increase orders by more than 20%
The trailer manufacturer’s leading position at the forefront of high-volume trailer development has led to a renewed interest in its products and production at all sites has been stepped up.
But it says many of the orders have come from the CV Show and the Multimodal exhibition.
“Our attendance at the trade shows, where we unveiled a range of new high-volume trailers, has really generated a huge amount of interest and demonstrated the levels of innovation and bespoke manufacturing that SDC can deliver,” said managing director Mark Cuskeran.
“We were able to showcase our full range of products and spend quality time with existing and new customers.”
SDC director Paul Bratton added that many customers with licence approval for longer semi-trailers were turning to SDC as leaders in this sector.
“Because we were first with VCA approval for our current range of five longer trailers, many operators are coming to us to discuss the options available to them – especially with regard to specification and steering axle options,” said Bratton.
“There has been continued interest in longer trailers and many customers are surprised at just how much technical expertise has gone into our high volume trailers.”
