Potter Group Logistics is awarded BRC Global Standard
Potter Group Logistics, one of the UK’s leading logistics service providers for specialist goods, has just received its BRC Global Standard accreditation for the storage and distribution of ambient foods at its Selby distribution centre (DC).
“Having such a prestigious certification under our belts is a great achievement for us,” enthuses Matthew Lamb, managing director of Potter Group Logistics. “It demonstrates that our customers can expect to receive a first class logistics service from us and we are totally committed to ensuring our facilities and operations are the best they can be.”
The BRC audit took place over two days and took 13 hours to complete. It covers four of the main warehouses at the Selby DC in North Yorkshire.
To gain the accreditation Potter Group Logistics was required to make sure they had staff members certified with a number of essential qualifications including; HACCP, British Food Council level 2 in food safety and LRQA Internal QMS Auditor.
Lamb continues, “We recognise how important it is to our customers that their products are kept in a safe, regulated environment which has been approved by a high authority. This is why we have invested the time, money and training to achieve this important accreditation.
“By showcasing our facilities in this way, it is our belief that we can proudly present Potter Group Logistics as an ideal third party logistics partner to many more companies in and around Yorkshire.” concludes Lamb.
