Plastribution has created a new business division to focus on its growing range of exclusive film products for the UK packaging market. These currently include heat shrinkable films from Bonset America Corporation, Sanzip re-closable zippers from
C I Kasei (Japan) and tie resins from Mitsubishi Chemicals Europe. The company also supplies a range of packaging products from Polyram (Israel), including tie resins, impact modifiers and coupling Agents. Plastribution is the country’s leading polymer distributor according to published industry figures and winner of the 2010 Plastics Industry Award.

Sanzip re-closable zippers, from C.I. Kasei Co., Ltd., are highly regarded for their quality and compatibility with pouch-making and form/fill/seal machines. With more than 100 grades available for a variety of applications from foodstuffs to medical products, the Sanzip range, which is available solely from Plastribution in the UK, combines high production efficiency with easy to open and close features and strong internal holding forces.

Three popular types of Bonset heat shrinkable films (PVC, PETG and OPS) are available from Plastribution in a variety of grades for use in full-body and tamper-evident neckband applications. Attributes include impact resistance and low temperature toughness, reduced contour shrinkage, enhanced UV light resistance for UV-sensitive contents and excellent printability. Plastribution is the sole UK distributor of shrink PVC, PETG and OPS films from Bonset America Corporation.

In the field of adhesive polymers, Plastribution is the exclusive distributor of Modic AP tie resins from Mitsubishi Chemical. The high performance products are highly suitable for use in co-extrusion applications such as films, containers, bottles and pipes used in the food, medical, civil engineering and automotive industries. Bondyram tie resin grades from Polyram are similarly used across a range of industries for blow and cast films, the blow-moulding of bottles and containers and multi-layer tubes.

Plastribution’s new packaging films division is based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, where it has both offices and temperature controlled warehouse facilities.
