Peter’s Foodservice Expands
Wales-based Peter’s Foodservice has acquired the gourmet hot dog business Mom’s Fabulous Foods. Farnham-based Mom’s Fabulous Foods’ turnover is in excess of £2 million and its hot dog ranges are supplied to stadiums, travel hubs, pub groups and fast food outlets across the country. The new deal is set to expand the Peter’s food to go offering while giving the Mom’s brand access to Peter’s’ extensive customer base across retail, foodservice, stadiums, caterers and fast food outlets through Peter’s 10 van sales depots across the UK.
Peter’s is renowned for baking savoury pastries, already producing products for its own brand, Peter’s, as well as national brand Seriously Tasty, and licensed brands including Heinz and Bisto.
Finance Director for Peter’s Foodservice, David Peek, says: “We are delighted to reach this agreement and further expand our product offering, especially in the fast growing food to go sector.”
Caerphilly-based Peter’s has been in business for over 50 years selling its own manufactured savoury pastry products into both retail and foodservice and has seen extensive growth in recent years. This deal will further strengthen its food to go offering across its varied customer base.
Founder of Mom’s Fabulous Foods, Nick Pagett, who will remain as Mom’s MD, says: “Having worked with Peter’s for several years and seeing the growth of Mom’s within Peter’s, I am delighted to have reached this agreement which will be a catalyst to further growth. Like Peter’s, product quality, innovation and service are at the heart of our success, so this deal seemed like the right move for all concerned, in particular our consumers, who will now enjoy even more opportunities to taste our fabulous hot dogs.”
