Pentair’s portable Gehaltemeter upgraded with Total Package Oxygen (TPO) Measurement
In the beer and beverage industries, the oxygen (O2) content is extremely important to both product quality and taste. Excess O2 can compromise the flavor stability and lead to significantly reduced product shelf life.
Due to customer demand, Pentair Haffmans’ portable O2 Gehaltemeter, type o-DGM and combined CO2/O2 Gehaltemeter, type c-DGM have been upgraded with the additional measurement value of Total Package Oxygen (TPO) based on the Uhlig’s method. In addition to the dissolved oxygen content, brewers can now use these instruments in combination with an ISD-Special Sampling Device to determine the TPO content in filled packages.
This allows for a flexible use of the Gehaltemeter, type o-DGM and type c-DGM at-line and in the laboratory for more comprehensive measurement results, and makes these instruments the ideal tools especially for craft brewers. All new portable Pentair Haffmans’ O2 and combined CO2/O2 Gehaltemeters will be executed with this modification. For existing customers, an upgrade set with TPO measurement is available.
Pentair Haffmans’ proven portable Gehaltemeter combines high accuracy with excellent measurement stability. Its advanced optical O2 measurement technology allows for reproducible and operator independent results. Frequent calibration of the O2 measurement is not required. All Pentair Haffmans’ Gehaltemeters are supplied with a bumper that protects the instrument against physical impact in harsh environments.
Pentair provides breweries and beverage producers a complete range of technologies for measuring
CO2 and O2 in the laboratory, at-line and in-line. In addition, advanced instruments for measuring air, alcohol/extract, foam, and turbidity as well as for monitoring processes such as pasteurization and
bottle/keg washing are available.
