Pelican Rouge Group Expands its Reach
Coffee company Pelican Rouge Group has agreed to acquire Maas International vending services businesses in Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland and the UK. This allows Pelican Rouge to further strengthen its market positions in these countries whilst Maas International will be able to focus on its core markets which are Germany, Denmark and Holland.
Pelican Rouge Group is a long established coffee company with its own brand active in 12 European countries. The brand was established in Antwerp in 1863.
Maas International is a long established supplier of vending services, founded in 1889 and is a privately owned enterprise. Maas supplies services and maintains vending machines and related products. Maas will continue to focus its operations in the Dutch, Danish and German markets. Maas International also owns the German machine manufacturing company Spengler.
The acquisition will be completed by the end of March 2015 and integration is expected to be completed by end of 2015.

Additionally this will contribute to deliver on our strategy to reinforce our credentials as a coffee roaster with multiple distribution channels,” says Alain Beyens, chief executive of Pelican Rouge.
