Newly Merged Mercury Packaging and CPS Flexible Appoint Group Engineering Manager
Leading flexible packaging manufacturers, Mercury Packaging and CPS Flexible, have appointed Carl Woolrich (pictured) as Group Engineering Manager, responsible for optimising production efficiencies and developing new technical capabilities across both the Leicester and Nottinghamshire sites.
Carl is the first key appointment since the two businesses merged to create a major flexible packaging company with combined turner of some £16million and forecasted growth of 25% over a three-year period.
Most recently Carl was Maintenance and Health and Safety Manager at Simtom Food Products. Other key roles include Maintenance Manager at AB Produce and Mechanical Engineer at F&J Williams Engineering.

The senior management team is confident that his engineering background and experience of managing large teams will help streamline processes and drive the production departments forward across both plants.”

The newly-formed BRC accredited business primarily targets the food, publishing, retail and security markets, and continues to operate from the existing state-of-the-art production facilities located in Nottingham and Leicester.
Backed by a dynamic senior management team, the merged company offers high performance production equipment, including six extruders, three print presses and a range of converting machines, as well as lamination and in-house design capabilities.
