The new Spreafico Automation headquarters is in Calolziocorte, not far from where, more than 40 years ago, the company was founded and started growing, from a small mechanical workshop to one of the most important companies in the production of automated machines for the preparing, filling and packaging of capsules for coffee and soluble products. The new building occupies an area of 5000 square meters and has been designed to perfectly meet the company’s new production needs, while also presenting technical features aimed at optimizing energy consumption. Among the many features, the new headquarters include a fully automated warehouse, thus improving the efficiencies of the workshop, which remains the center of the factory; it is here that Spreafico designs and assembles its automated machines, thanks to the expertise and experience of the skilled technicians. This aspect of Spreafico’s production reflects its strong ties with the region: the different parts and components that make up the various machines are sourced from a network of local subcontractors or, alternatively, they are produced by the “Spreafico Meccanica” division, which still has a strong bond with Spreafico Automation. The employees are also mostly from the same region, as, for decades, it has been rich of technically skilled workers in the mechanical field.
