New Head For Fuller’s
UK regional brewer and pub group Fuller, Smith & Turner has appointed Simon Emeny (pictured), currently group managing director, as chief executive with effect from the 1st July 2013. Simon Emeny joined Fuller’s in 1996.
With an initial brief to run the company’s Managed Pubs, he joined the main Board in 1998 and was then promoted to managing director of Fuller’s Inns in 2006. He subsequently became group managing director in 2010.
Prior to this, Simon Emeny was at Bass, joining as a graduate trainee in 1987. During his nine year tenure with that business, he held a number of senior operational and management positions culminating in the role of strategic planning manager in 1995.
The appointment of Simon Emeny as chief executive marks the next stage in the evolution of Fuller’s succession plan and Michael Turner, who became managing director in 1992, chief executive in 2002 and executive chairman in 2007 will continue as chairman of the group in a non-executive capacity.
