National Supermarket Listing For All-natural Instant Porridge Brand
After just eight months in business, The Great British Porridge Co. has signed its biggest retail deal to date, as its products hit the shelves of Sainsbury’s. From 18th August, Sainsbury’s customers will be able to buy products from The Great British Porridge Co. in 513 stores across the Britain.
The Great British Porridge Co. produces 100% natural, no added sugar, dairy free and gluten free premium instant porridges made from the finest wholegrain oats, fruit, nuts and seeds. With three flavours in the range: Strawberry & Peanut Butter, Red Berry & Pumpkin Seed and Blueberry & Banana, the brand offers an all-natural and nutritious breakfast option for health-conscious, but time pressured consumers.
“When I started making my porridge at my kitchen table 18 months ago I never dreamt that it would end up on the supermarket shelves,” says founder Jacqueline Barleycorn (pictured). “It’s hard to imagine that people up and down the country will now be able to get their hands on my products so easily from Sainsbury’s; it’s just amazing.”
She adds: “I think we’ve entered the market at just the right time; people want all-natural and healthy food that’s full of goodness but is quick to prepare and our porridge ticks all those boxes.”
