Momentous Year For Teeling Whiskey Company
Independent Irish whiskey business Teeling Whiskey Company (TWC) has welcomed over 25,000 visitors through the doors of its distillery since opening in Newmarket Square in Dublin on June 9th. The distillery site also scooped its first visitor experience award in September winning the ‘Experience of the Year’ as accredited by the highly acclaimed, Luxury Travel Guide.
2015 has been a momentous year for the company. In the last twelve months, TWC has opened up the first new distillery in Dublin in over 125 years and cemented its position as a leading independent Irish whiskey company at the forefront of the evolution of the Irish whiskey industry in both Ireland and abroad. TWC now exports its whiskeys to over 40 countries around the world, with that due to increase in 2016.
Jack Teeling (pictured), founder and managing director of the Teeling Whiskey Company, comments: “We are very proud of what we have achieved over the last twelve months with the opening of our new distillery and with visitor numbers surpassing our expectations in the first six months of trading. We look forward to 2016, growing our branded sales both domestically and internationally while ramping up our production in Newmarket coupled with hopefully a landmark year for us in terms of visitors through our doors.”
In addition to the successful opening of its Distillery, the Teeling Whiskey Company has won fifteen prestigious awards for its whiskey this year including World’s Best Irish Single Malt at the WWA’s.
