MillerCoors debuts Easy Tea Co brand
MillerCoors, the joint venture between SABMiller and Molson Coors, has debuted a new brand of lightly carbonated hard iced tea.
The range of 5% ABV Easy Tea Co beverages features a “crisp citrus flavour” and has been released in time for the long, hot “dog days” of summer, MillerCoors said.
Easy Tea, which will be sold in 24oz cans at select liquor and convenience stores, will be available from 1 August in 12 states across the Midwest and Northeastern US: Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin.
Easy Tea Co marketing manager Melissa Wagamon said: “We’re excited to bring people a hard iced tea with just the right amount of sweetness. The name says it all. The simple yet crisp and citrusy taste of Easy Tea makes it the perfect drink for kicking back and relaxing with a few close friends.”
Over 85% of all tea poured in America is enjoyed over ice, and Easy Tea brings the familiar refreshment of the classic beverage alongside “a nice kick”. A distinct departure from sweet tea flavours, Easy Tea is refined, brisk and less sweet than standard, non-alcoholic iced teas, MillerCoors said.
