Major contract wins have helped K3 AX, part of the K3 Business Technology Group plc, one of Microsoft’s top 60 global partners, to post an impressive set of first half year results to December 2010.

Despite difficult trading conditions in its marketplace, the company, which provides enterprise software solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics AX, made sales of £1.2m for the six month period, up 12% on the previous six months.

K3 AX has sought to differentiate itself from other firms in the Dynamics AX community by   providing a range of integrated value added services that help clients gain more benefits from their IT solutions.

Highlights in the year to date include a new contract win worth £207,000 with West Yorkshire food company New Ivory to supply and implement the Microsoft Dynamics AX Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. New Ivory, part of the Zubrance Group of food and ingredients companies, is a leading manufacturer of fresh sauces, dips and dressings sold by major retailers such as Marks & Spencer.

K3 AX also landed a £203,000 order with Knight Strip Metals to provide an advanced business system, also based on Microsoft Dynamics AX.

As K3 AX continues to strengthen its ties with existing customers, in typical fashion the company won a £50,000 contract to replace a customer’s BEC warehouse management solution which utilises handheld devices in the factory that produces tea for all the UK’s supermarket chains. K3 AX’s future prospects also look strong, with potential deals worth in excess of £2m in the pipeline.

K3 AX works across a number of different industry sectors, and the flexibility of Dynamics AX has allowed K3 AX to adapt AX to suit the changing demands of the steel industry.  A fully up-to-date Dynamics AX solution is currently being rolled out to 300 users across 12 locations in UK and Ireland at Murray Metals Group, one of the biggest independent steel stockholders in the UK.

Paul Fryer, Sales Director of K3 AX, said: The flexibility of the Dynamics AX system is perfectly suited to the changing demands of the steel industry and will change the way the industry uses technology.”
