IREKS Chias Up UK Bakeries With New POS
The recent launch of IREKS Chia Bread Mix from leading German baking ingredients manufacturer IREKS has created something of a stir among UK bakers who ordered the 50% mix. Bakers were sent recipe leaflets, Chia seed fact sheets and “Open” and “Closed” signs for their bakeries with uptake being strong.
“We were really impressed that so many bakeries see the POS as positive sales aids for their customers,” says Maurice van Tongeren, IREKS head of sales international. “We created some colourful pieces for bakers to use, the feedback was that the POS kits really helped brighten up the windows and demand exceeded expectations.”
IREKS Chia Bread Mix has been dubbed “the running food” and “the ultimate super food” by advocates and athletes. “Chia seeds are a special ingredient which gives the baked goods their own particular character’’ says Lee Pugh, sales manager UK. “IREKS offers a lot of ideas for processing possibilities. For example, bread can be made with the mix which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and which provides valuable proteins and fibre at the same time.”
IREKS Chia Bread Mix is available from the main wholesalers in the UK and Ireland.
