Illapak provides new line for Tangerine Confectionery
Tangerine Confectionery has invested in a new Illapak fully automated flowrapping line
The Illapak Carrera 2000/40 has been installed and is wrapping Jamesons’ Ruffle Bars at speeds of around 350 products per minute. According to Illapak, the new machine boosts speed by 55%.
Tangerine Confectionery manufacturing and development manager Andrew Hamilton said: “The installation of the new Carrera packaging line is a significant step forward for us, bringing greater efficiency, increasing throughput while maintaining our high quality standards.”
Fully automated, the new line comprises a high speed Carrera 2000/40 and six belt Indy automatic feeding system flowrapping individual Ruffle bars. It features an alignment belt and quality control system which uses laser sensors to check product size and ensure the product meets the required specification.
Tangerine produces brands including Barratt’s Sherbet Fountains, Fruit Salads, Black Jacks, Lion Midget Gems and Henry Goode Soft Eating Liquorice.
