Stride gum has launched its iD chewing gumwith a new type of magnetic closure that allows customers to open and close the packs with the snap of a magnet. The folding pack features printed magnets on the outer edges of each side that easily come together and pull apart.

While traditional packs become worn and damaged with use, Stride gum maintains its structure and limits wear-and-tear of the carton while improving functionality. AGI-Shorewood, the developer of the printed magnetic closure, claims the design is a “game changer” in the competitive confectionery industry and plans to expand the application to other consumer product segments, including personal care and beauty and cosmetics.
