Glyn Davies, former owner of Russell Davies and Hanbury Davies and current chairman of dealership Hanbury Riverside, has been appointed as non-executive director at Culina Logistics.
Glyn Davies, former owner of Russell Davies and Hanbury Davies and current chairman of dealership Hanbury Riverside, has been appointed as non-executive director at Culina Logistics.
Culina CEO Thomas van Mourik says that Davies appointment comes as the company plans to double its business in the next five years through a combination of organic growth and acqusitions.
“The next five years are pivotal for us and Glyn’s expertise and support could not come at a better time,” he says. “He will be instrumental in supporting our strategic plans to double the business by 2016.”
Davies, who started his career with P&O Road Services in the 1960’s and counts John Williams at maritime Logistics and Harvey MacIntyre of MacIntyre Transport as former protégés, describes Culina as a “big business with ambitious plans”.
“I’ve known [van Mourik] for many years and I am looking forward to helping the business grow by sharing my experience and insight.”
