Gerhard Schubert Impresses at FachPack 2018
Gerhard Schubert GmbH looks back on a very successful FachPack 2018. Schubert’s new lightline machine series met with great interest. At the trade fair, the packaging specialist premiered the lightline Cartonpacker from its new product family. Schubert established many contacts, laying the foundation for numerous new projects.
“Our results from this year’s FachPack are positive in every respect. We took in numerous customer inquiries and are now looking at more than 70 potential projects which will be decided on this year,” highlighted Head of Sales Martin Sauter. Schubert successfully generated 30 per cent more qualified contacts than at the previous FachPack fair in 2016. The majority came from Germany and neighbouring countries. Contacts included companies of all sizes, ranging from international corporations to medium-sized and small companies. Most visitors to the Schubert booth were from the food and confectionery industry, but just as many technical goods manufacturers were interested in finding out about the portfolio of the entire Schubert Group at the trade fair stand.
In the run-up to the trade fair, Schubert invited visitors to take advantage of an opportunity to visit its nearby company site in Crailsheim, and experience its latest pickerlines for food, confectionery and baked goods, a casepacker for dairy products and much more. Schubert is also very satisfied with the excellent response to this parallel event.
Highlight of the FachPack fair: the lightline Cartonpacker
On the first day of the fair, Schubert presented its new lightline machine series to trade visitors and journalists during a press conference and presented its lightline Cartonpacker on the stand, where it packed up to 125 boxed chocolate pralines per minute into RSC cases. “The feedback so far shows that we are meeting a significant market need with our Cartonpacker. Compact design, low investment costs for a preconfigured machine with proven Schubert quality, in conjunction with short delivery times, makes the Cartonpacker an extremely interesting system for manufacturers,” says Marcel Kiessling, Managing Director for Sales, Service and Marketing at Schubert.
Three machines for all standard applications
With the Schubert lightline machine series, TLM technology is offering a total of three preconfigured machines for standardised packaging tasks. In addition to the “lightline Cartonpacker”, the “lightline Pickerline” can master pick & place applications and the “lightline Flowpacker” can take on packaging into flow-wrap bags. The machines can be flexibly added to and expanded at any time, and this remarkable flexibility make the preconfigured machines a future-proof investment.
“One of our company’s key areas of expertise is to successfully use our modular design to develop customer-specific solutions. Now we are using the same modular system to offer a standardised machine to take on standard packaging tasks,” explains Marcel Kiessling. As a result, the globally recognised market leader in top-loading packaging machines continues to standardise its technology in order to provide optimal solutions to customers with different needs. “Manufacturers now have the choice between preconfigured machines from the new lightline product series, with defined product and packaging formats, and freely configurable machines with comprehensive degrees of freedom, which can be individually tailored to meet specific customer requirements,” highlights Marcel Kiessling.
