Fruit juice supplier revamps pack with Tetra Pak carton
Fruit juice supplier Cawston Press has replaced the packaging of its juice impulse cartons from the 250ml packs with straws to resealable 330ml Tetra Prisma Aseptic cartons.
Developed by packaging giant Tetra Pak, the 330ml Tetra Prisma Aseptic carton features a specially designed DreamCap closure. This is the first time it’s been used for a fruit juice in the UK.
The increased portability and larger format has been designed to appeal directly to adults – who the brand has increasingly targeted in recent months with new products such as its 330ml sparkling drinks.
‘Real demand’
Cawston sales director Dan Broughton said: “There’s real demand for quality juices in small serve formats from adults in both work and leisure time, but they need cartons which are fit for purpose.
“That means they need to be easily resealable and strong enough for on-the-go consumption – they’ve got to survive in a hand bag, lunch box or rucksack!
“This new format is just that and it’s one of our most exciting innovations – displayed in a chiller, they represent nothing but a ‘win’ for retailers.”
