FrieslandCampina to Open New Innovation Centre
FrieslandCampina plans to open a new Innovation Centre in Wageningen, the Netherlands, in October. The completion of the new centre brings together most of FrieslandCampina’s research and development activities under a single roof.
FrieslandCampina aims to use the new Innovation Centre to respond even more effectively to growing demand on the global market for healthy, sustainably produced nutrition. Co-operation, knowledge-sharing and mutual inspiration are key to this process.
The FrieslandCampina Innovation Centre is located on the campus of Wageningen University. It accommodates 450 staff, 350 of whom are R&D personnel who will have access to approximately 18,000 square metres of laboratories, test areas and a pilot plant. The building houses also an Experience Centre where visitors and employees can find out about the products of FrieslandCampina.
The dairy group recently opened a new development centre in Singapore. The new facility will focus on the development of dairy-based beverages and infant and toddler nutrition, tailored specifically for Asian consumers.
The development centre, located in the Singapore Science Park, houses FrieslandCampina’s nutritional expertise and product development for its Consumer Products International (CPI) business group in Asia.
