European Co-Packers Association and EasyFairs Join Forces
EasyFairs and the European Co-Packers Association have joined forces behind the easyFairs Benelux Packaging Portfolio. The partnership between the event organiser and the professional association will take shape for the first time at Empack Brussels, which will take place at Brussels Expo on 24 and 25 September. The cooperation will continue at the Packaging Innovations trade show at Amsterdam on 26 and 27 November and through to next spring at Empack ‘s-Hertogenbosch, which takes place on 15 and 16 April 2015.
With this partnership both easyFairs and ECPA are responding effectively to market demand: “Co-packing has become such an integral part of the packaging industry so we are delighted that ECPA will be supporting our shows,” says Cornelien Baijens, managing director of easyFairs Benelux. The ECPA and its members represent the professional Contract Packing Industry in Mainland Europe, providing a valued resource for brand owners, manufacturers and retailers looking to outsource. Partnering is the logical next step; easyFairs is the perfect partner for bringing together supply and demand within packaging thanks to its knowledge, experience and wide international network.
The value of the partnership is also acknowledged by Rodney Steel, the new ECPA president: “I have been extremely impressed with the easyFairs packaging shows and we look forward to this opportunity to promote ECPA members’ services to companies looking to outsource all or part of their manufacturing, packing, fulfilment & logistics operations.” The presence of ECPA at the exhibitions is an enhancement for visitors. “Co-Packing” is a comprehensive term that covers multiple activities and each co-packer has its own areas of expertise. Besides the packing and repacking of food and non-food products, many ECPA members can also provide services in co-manufacturing, filling, fulfilment and logistics.
