Emmi Confirms Outlook For 2015
Swiss dairy group Emmi continues to expect markedly negative currency effects and a further organic decline in sales for the current year, as well as a fall in income.
Konrad Graber, chairman of Emmi, comments: “The strong Swiss franc will have a big impact on the 2015 financial year. Emmi is doing everything in its power to ensure that Swiss dairy products continue to have sufficient sales potential in international markets. Nevertheless, some declines will be unavoidable.”
Emmi is forecasting an organic sales decline of between 3% and 2% for 2015, with its Swiss business division down 2-3%, Europe down 4-6% and the Americas division up 3-5%. EBIT is forecast in the SFr150 million to SFr160 million range and net profit margin is expected to be just under 3%.
