Sauvelle, a new crafted French vodka, and Funkin Cocktails will both feature at this year’s Drinks Symposium, taking place at Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging London, on 17 September 2015 at London Olympia.

The Drinks Symposium, happening on day two of the show, will see leading drinks brands share their ideas and knowledge on how original thinking and imaginative packaging design can create a strong brand identity and desirability. Offering visitors real-life stories, advice and the latest concepts sweeping the drinks industry.

Causing a stir and celebrating 15 years of successful growth is Funkin cocktail Mixers. Andrew King, Managing Director, at Funkin Cocktails, will be lifting the lid on the company’s new packaging, which will be rolled out in coming months across its expanding range of products. The new design is set to create a unified look that will make it unmistakably recognisable across the on- and off-trade.

Andrew King, Managing Director at Funkin, comments: “Innovation is at the heart of everything we do and we are delighted with our new look as Funkin embarks on the next phase of its growth. The packaging is sophisticated and contemporary and also highlights Funkin’s heritage with ‘established in 1999.’ This bold and exciting change will increase awareness and ultimately drive consumer trial.”

Nick Worthington, Brand Marketing and Business Development Director for the new vodka brand, Sauvelle, will discuss launching a small independent brand onto the market, and the importance of the choice of packaging. “We’re looking forward to talking at the Drinks Symposium and sharing our experience in the creation and launch of a new independent luxury brand,” remarks Worthington.

PackagingInnovation2015FunkinWorthington has worked with and consulted for an exceptional selection of spirit brands, first being tasked with launching a range of brands for historic Berry Bros & Rudd, including Kings Ginger liquor, No.3 Gin, and Pink Pigeon Rum. He then turned his attention to launching Crystal Head Vodka into the UK market, then Appleton Estate Rums and the re-launching of Bulldog.

If it’s not drinks you are after, beauty also lies within Packaging Innovations London and Luxury Packaging. Taking place on day one of the show is the Beauty Symposium, run in association with The Red Tree Consultancy.

Stirling Murray, CEO and Founder of The Red Tree, says: “The Beauty Symposium is thrilled to be back at Packaging Innovations London and Luxury Packaging, and particularly excited about the expansion to Olympia. We welcomed an incredible 300 people to our seminars last year, and anticipation is already starting to build about the 2015 sessions. Once again, we have a strong and diverse line-up of speakers, who are going to share their innovative ideas about all things packaging and beauty.”

Among the beauty speakers will be Dr. Katerina Steventon, a skincare scientist who offers innovative solutions to unmet consumer needs; and Jason Russell, Managing Director & Co-Founder of Magentity, who has a successful track record of online marketing in the luxury beauty industry, working with some of the biggest names in the business including Philip Kingsley, Gazelli Skincare and Dr Nick Lowe.
