Diageo Baileys Reduces Energy Costs by 25% With New Management Standard EN 16001
Diageo Baileys Global Supply, the Dublin-based international drinks producer, is achieving significant savings on its energy bill following its adoption of the new energy management standard EN 16001. EN 16001 provides a set of standardised requirements for an energy management system and also the framework for energy management best practice to aid organisations.

Diageo Baileys Global Supply worked with Certification Europe as its certification partner in implementing the new standard. “EN 16001 energy management system certification has helped Diageo Baileys Global Supply’s operations to address its energy use in an extremely positive manner. Since engaging in the energy management certification process we have saved 25% on weekend energy costs alone,” says Evelyn Conlon, risk manager at Diageo Baileys Global Supply.
