ContiTech Fitting Systems Ensure Top Production Reliability

If fittings are not properly connected, hygiene problems and hose failure can occur. This applies particularly to coupling systems that utilize hose clamps, tension band, hose ties or assembly wire. In case such a line is strongly bent at the hose end, the hose may remove from the hose nipple, thus forming dead space in which the medium can collect. In turn, this results in dirt cavities, which possibly do not allow an adequate rinsing and disinfection.
Pressed fittings provide a much higher level of hygiene. In the case of good systems such as PAGUFIX® 3000 or the BLAUDIECK® hose fitting system, the pressed sleeve is longer than the hose nipple. This prevents any dead space resulting from bending the hose. Swaged fittings coupled to a smooth, preferably extruded, hose liner obtain the best results, especially if it is important that the product is transported free of turbulences. It is, of course, no problem whatsoever to clean and disinfect such hose lines.
The high-quality PAGUFIX® 3000 swaged fitting is manufactured using the 1.4301 material, yet it can also be supplied in other materials and various special versions whereby it can be optimally adapted to individual operational requirements.
