Chippindale Foods, which has over 30 years’ experience of supplying free range eggs, including its MyEggs and Bronte Browns Organic ranges, has secured a major national UK listing with Morrisons following the launch of a new brand of eggs. Free Rangers, the latest offering from the North Yorkshire-based firm, will be on sale across 480 Morrisons stores nationwide in packs of 10.

According to Nick Chippindale, managing director of Chippindale Foods, the listing with the leading supermarket chain is an excellent opportunity for the fourth generation family-run company based in Harrogate.

“We wanted to create a brand of free range eggs that not only offers great value produce to shoppers but can help them to ‘enjoy eggs more’ and to better understand the health benefits associated with eggs and their versatility,” he explains.  “With over three decades of experience, we have supplied a number of major regional outlets however this will allow us to operate on a national level while continuing to nurture and develop the Free Rangers brand and the business.”

The Free Rangers brand is fronted by three lively hens, Stef the Chef, Jess and Busy Lizzie, and has been developed to champion the health benefits and versatility of eggs while appealing to busy parents who want to create healthy, yet simple, meals for their families to enjoy.

Steve Halford, buyer at Morrisons, adds: “Free Rangers is a fantastic family-friendly brand which places healthy eating at its core and offers good value for money, both of which are hugely important to our customers. I am confident that Free Rangers will become a popular choice across our stores.”

The announcement of the listing with Morrisons comes as Chippindale Foods approaches another significant milestone. Later this year the business is relocating its packing operation to a brand new facility. The purpose-built packing centre will allow the company to significantly increase its outputs to over one million eggs per day.
