Carlsberg UK has reported a pre-tax profit of £21.4 million for the year ended December 2010 against a loss of £10 million in the previous year. Turnover for 2010 increased by 3.4% to £978.8 million as the company increased its share of the UK beer market from 14.3% to 15.4% during the year.

Having closed its brewery at Leeds in June, Carlsberg UK is investing substantially to expand annual capacity from 3 million barrels to 4 million barrels at its remaining brewery at Northampton.
