Carlsberg Enlarges its Western Europe Region
Carlsberg Group has announced that senior vice president Jorn Tolstrup Rohde has taken up responsibility for a new, enlarged ‘Western Europe Region’. The region was previously organisationally split into Northern Europe and Western Europe, headed by Jorn Tolstrup Rohde and Jesper Friis respectively.
Jesper Friis, who has been senior vice president of Western Europe since 2009, has decided to leave Carlsberg to take up a position as divisions director in the international food company Danish Crown.
Jorgen Buhl Rasmussen, chief executive of Carlsberg, comments: “Having the region under one leadership enables our resources to be further focused and aligned, whilst speeding up the implementation of common commercial capabilities and best practices across our European markets. It will also mean that our new supply chain structure will then mirror our commercial set-up.”
