Designed to prevent and protect against the combustible and explosion risks posed by the handling of fine organic dusts, these products are BS&B’s most advanced protective solutions to date.

The R-IQR flameless vent is BS&B’s newest means of passive relief of explosive pressure that may occur in process equipment. Should an explosion occur inside a process or storage vessel containing combustible materials, a rapid rise in pressure can ensue, putting personnel and equipment at risk.

The new Explosion Suppression System V rapidly detects and chemically extinguishes the early stages of a primary explosion in process equipment. The system isolates the explosion from propagating further to cause secondary dust explosions in other process equipment. Lightweight, user-friendly with rapid response, the System V is BS&B’s most advanced explosion suppression solution to date.

These solutions can be used on all process equipment in a variety of sectors, including food manufacturing, milling, recycling, pharmaceuticals and tobacco. Recent new areas of application include the print cartridge recycling industry where highly combustible carbon dusts pose explosion risks.
