BPIF’s Carton Conference Provides a Glimpse into the Future
Faraday’s Andrew Revel is the latest high profile speaker to present at October’s Carton Conference which is being organised by BPIF Cartons at London’s Business Design Centre.
Andrew is Commercial Manager at the packaging and innovation consultancy, Faraday. Part of Leeds Metropolitan University, Faraday offers brand owners a unique mixture of industrial and academic based knowledge to help them develop more desirable products and packaging. Faraday is well known for providing insightful glimpses into the future and Andrew’s presentation plans to do exactly that, “I plan to take the audience on a trip into the near future where we will interact with packaging in a very different way to now”, said Andrew. “It will talk to us, provide us with information on its storage and tell us when it is the best time to eat or use the product. The drivers for developing unique consumer experiences are very strong and, in most cases, the technology to deliver these changes is already here or just around the corner.”
Andrew’s presentation will also cover how improved emotional packaging experiences can truly engage with all the senses. Naturally, he will also be exploring what opportunities lay ahead for the carton board sector and how these emerging trends will shape developments over the coming years.
Robert Davison, BPIF Carton’s Chairman, said, “Brand owners and retailers are adopting new technologies and approaches to maximise the emotional experience that consumers get from packaging. Andrew’s presentation will show us how these technologies will impact on everyday products. The Carton Conference has a lot to offer both packaging manufactures and specifiers and we expect more leading brand owners to sign up to the event over the coming months.”
The Carton Conference enjoys a strong link with the easyFairs Packaging Innovations exhibition which immediately follows the conference. Robert went onto say, “This link basically means delegates get two worthwhile events under the same roof at the same time. Anyone wishing to attend can register their details on the website.”
