Bosch Packaging Technology has announced the completion of its acquisition of fellow German filling and packaging machine maker Ampack Ammann
The business has become part of Bosch’s Liquid Food business unit. It makes machines for filling and packaging sensitive food such as dairy products, baby food and hospital food, as well as dosable food products such as cereals.
In a short statement on the acquisition, Bosch said that Ampack Ammann would remain an independent unit and be operated as a Bosch subsidiary, while its products will continue to be marketed under the Ampack Ammann name.
It added that the acquisition “enables Bosch Packaging Technology to offer a more comprehensive product portfolio to customers around the world”.
