Bolloré launches new ‘eco label’
Paper maker Bolloré This Papers has launched, what it calls, a new eco label
It said that its new label helps “clients better communicate their choice of responsible paper use”.
In a statement, the firm also said that it hopes the label will demonstrate its commitment to the environment in terms of weight reduction and decrease of environmental impact.
It said: “By choosing to apply the life label to their publications, our clients express their support of our program. We wish to point out that this label is not the result of ongoing work on environmental labelling, nor is it a comparison of our offer with that of the competition.”
The new label also has a QR code on it which can be read with a smartphone and this enables access to a dedicated mobile website, according to the firm.
The firm’s lightweight papers are manufactured in France on sites at Thonon-les-Bains – PDL (Papeteries du Léman) and Laval-sur-Vologne – PDV (Papeteries des Vosges).
