Bioplastics firm German debut at Fachpack show
German firm FKuR Kunststoff is to exhibit a range of bioplastics for both rigid and flexible packaging at next month’s Fachpack show in Nuremberg
FKuR is the exclusive European distributor for Brazilian bioplastics firm Braskem and the firm’s “Green PE” made from sugar cane is set to make its German debut at the show.
The material was introduced to the UK at easyFairs earlier this year.
Green PE, which is sold under the Terralene brand, is said to have identical properties as regular ethylene and can be recycled using existing streams.
One tonne of ‘Green PE’ captures up to 2.4 tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
FKuR will also be showcasing its well-established Bio-Flex range for flexible packaging and Biograde for rigids.
Fachpack runs from 25-27 September at the Messe Nürnberg and FKuR will be exhibiting on booth 7-334 in hall 7.
