Bericap develops caps for edible oil and vinegar packaging
German vinegar producers have taken a leading role in developing and implementing the next generation of edible oil and vinegar caps together with BERICAP over a period of years.
One of the latest developments is a two piece closure attracting consumers with its shiny surface. The so-called CTC IP suits the PET neck 29/21, shows a modern and young appearance and fulfils the requirements of increasingly more demanding customers. The closure is equipped with an integrated hinge. A tear-off band, assuring tamper evidence, can be opened in two directions and thus is of advantage for both right and left handed consumers. The rounded shape of the cover shows a modern design supported by that shiny look.
A leading private label vinegar producer decided to use HC EV 29/21 for their main product, a vinegar essence (25% acidity). This 1-pc press-on hinge closure suits a 29/21 PET neck or adequate glass neck. The pourer is equipped with a tear-off seal for reliable tamper evidence assuring the integrity of the product. After opening, the hinged lid can be opened up to 180 degrees and a non-drip pouring lip avoids dripping of product after pouring.
The management of another vinegar producer was searching for a couple of solutions for their 250 and 500 ml glass carafe bottles as well as for their products filled in PET.
The broad range of the Bericap product portfolio and a profound understanding of customer needs made the difference, so BERICAP became the sole supplier for plastic caps CTC IP, HC EV 29/21.
New closure implementation requires mostly modification on the filling line. In joint efforts, the customer supported by BERICAP technician completed the necessary conversion. A close relationship and understanding between bottling industry and closure supplier proved again to be important.
