Bakkavor to Close UK Site
Following the completion of a consultation period, Bakkavor Group has confirmed the closure of its Freshcook meals facility at Holbeach St Marks, Lincolnshire. The site will cease to operate from 29 April 2019.
Management reviewed a number of different options to improve the performance of the loss-making site but unfortunately concluded that this business is no longer commercially viable. All weekly paid employees have been offered the opportunity to take alternative operational roles across Bakkavor’s other nearby Lincolnshire sites.
