Bakkavor Strengthens its Asian Business
Bakkavor, leading international producer of fresh prepared foods, has officially opened its new Creative Food factory and farm in the Fujian and Jiangsu provinces of China. These operations will complement the group’s existing Asian business in China and Hong Kong. The new facilities are key investments for the group and will enable Bakkavor to increase capacity in line with one of its key customer’s rapid growth plans in Asia.
Both factory and farm are now fully operational. The farm, which has been designed and built using state-of-the-art glasshouse and irrigation technology, will provide a significant proportion of the fresh produce required and increase Bakkavor’s control over the quality and sourcing of its raw materials.
