Baker Perkins at ProSweets -New generation depositor, new end products
Baker Perkins will focus on depositing innovations that raise efficienc, at ProSweets inCologne, January 29 to February 1 2012 (hall 10.1, stand D045).
A new generation of ServoForm confectionery depositor features higher levels of hygiene, easier operation and less maintenance than previous versions, while retaining the full range of depositing capability.
Fast, automatic start-up and cleaning cycles have replaced time consuming manual operations. Priming the pumps at start-up and cleaning the pumps and hopper after every production run are essential, and are now carried out at the press of a button. The depositor head is raised and lowered, with purging and washout trays placed and withdrawn automatically. The cycles are pre-programmed and require no operator intervention.
This rapid, reliable and efficient system replaces the previous manual purging and cleaning process which involved lowering the mould circuit then manually placing and withdrawing the trays.
Start-up time has been further reduced in the new generation of ServoForm depositors by the introduction of on-the-run adjustment for mould lift under the depositor head. This adjustment previously required the machine to be stopped, wasting both time and product. This, along with the automatic cleaning cycle and touch screen set up and adjustment of the depositor head, means that start ups and changeovers are faster and more efficient.
