ALDI Ireland to Invest €320 million in 30 new stores
ALDI Ireland plans to invest €320 million in 30 new stores in the coming years, on top of the more €1.6 billion it has invested since it entered the Irish market over 20 years ago. In 2022, the company began its West of Ireland expansion programme, with €63 million to be invested over the next two years, creating 140 full time jobs.
ALDI Ireland also recently announced an ambitious plan to expand its store network in Dublin with a €73 million investment in 11 new stores in the city over the next five years. The new stores will see the creation of 350 full-time permanent jobs and 550 construction jobs over the period.
The retailer currently employs over 4,650 people and operates a network of 155 stores across the country, with stores in each county in the Republic of Ireland.
Niall O’Connor, ALDI Group Managing Director, said: “We look forward to continuing to grow our presence in 2023 in Dublin and around the country. We want to continue to offer our customers the best value at locations most convenient to them – and to continue driving economic activity and creating jobs in Ireland, as we have done consistently for more than 20 years.”
